What’s the point of learning a language if you know nothing about the culture of its speakers? We thought that introducing our young French learners to the world of the legendary French cuisine would boost their motivation and ultimately their learning, since it would connect their learning experience to the real world. The results exceeded our expectations!

We organised two macaron workshops in cooperation with the chef Andreas Konstantinou (mAKaron, Nicosia) in which our young learners learnt some food-related French vocabulary in a fun way and completed the authentic task they had to do with great success; they all left with their own box of delicious macarons they made themselves to share with their family. We are grateful to mAKaron for this wonderful opportunity!
